My first blog post ever, I’m a bit late to the game and haven’t shared things I probably should of, like my course with First Point Photography where I gained my City & Guilds Accreditation in Advanced Wedding and Portrait Photography + Digital Manipulation. It was a great course and I was fortunate enough to have Paul & his team all to myself being a solo student! The confidence and skill I have gained from the 3 week course is absolutely invaluable and I’m so grateful to Paul, Danny & Sarah for all their support and of course the constant supply of tea!
Since completing my training I’ve been keeping myself busy, I thought I was busy before with a young family and everything that comes along with that, but busy now has a new meaning. Im trying to get into the swing of shooting, editing and posting my images in a timely manor but life is fast moving and it’ll take some getting used to. I’m ridiculously pleased to say I’ve managed to secure 6 Weddings in the past 6 weeks and I’m of course mega excited to really get in to it all.
In the meantime I’ve been keeping myself occupied with engagement shoots, practicing with golden hour lighting and even had the chance to work with Sophie Bowdler at her Portrait course. We battled through some pretty torrential rain and ended up getting some amazing photo opportunities, persistence really was key! Sophie was a fab tutor and it was so good to pick her knowledgable brain on all things weddings! I’m looking forward to another of her work shops and will be keeping my eyes peeled to book myself onto the next one!
